Day 12 – a late night

Hey everyone,

This is a late post due to a longer than expected dinner cruise, so this will be short and sweet. Kate and Sheehan are fast asleep, and I am ready for sleep too.

Today included a trip to the medical clinic for an examination. Sheehan hated having someone look in his mouth, but we survived OK. Everything checked out normal. He weighs 26.5 lbs.

The we stopped off for some coffee and cake. Then came an answered prayer, a 2 hour nap for Sheehan.

Then off to a mall for some shopping (Yawn from Steve). The a dinner cruise. Remembering Pastor Dave’s motto that “it can’t get tough enough for us to complain”, I will leave it at this: 40% of the buffet offerings I couldn’t identify and 40% of the items I could identify and wouldn’t dare put inside my mouth. That left some small chicken wings, some noodles, rice and what I hope was sweet and sour pork. Anyway, have a great Monday 9/11.

Steve

Day 12 – a late night — 7 Comments

  1. Love the pictures! I can’t wait for you guys to come home!

Looks like a neat cruise. It looks like a neat city, too.

Hope the weather is great for you guys! It’s raining in Lockport today.

    Love you!

  2. Great photos!

Mommy is beaming, and Daddy’s (i.e., Baba’s)eyes are glazing. That must have been a great cruise–the pics are spectacular. Hope to see you guys soon.

    Love,
    Jon & Mom

  3. Hey guys.. I just love the photo of Steve while shopping. You just looked so excited!!!!
Hey… Steve.. the Skins are playing tonight!! We almost bought Sheehan a Redskin shirt.. but we couldn’t find one that was in his size!!!

  4. I have been praying the “nap prayer” for all of you…glad to hear Sheehan took a good nap, makes all the difference, huh?!

Are you guys so anxious to get home? Do you have special instructions on transitioning Sheehan into the US, our culture, etc.? Probably just “go slow”! I read the whole thing about not introducing him to everyone you know right away. That makes a lot of sense. Anna Leigh will be happy to meet a new friend, so when you’re ready :-) Kate, I hope that we can get together from time to time, the kids can play and we can compare “toddler notes” :-)

    Lots of Love,
    Mandie and Fam

  5. Mommy and Daddy~
Omg you guys look like your having such a great time! I’m so excited to meet Sheehan! The first night of Son Life was tonight and since they have a bass player in the band now, Dave just sings and he had nothing to do with his hands so he looked really awkward and it was funny! and Ronnie came too! (Me and Jenny threw pennies at her). Oh and today at school, I slammed Jenny’s locker shut 4 times! It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!
Well, I miss you guys and know that we’re praying for you! lyl! Give Sheehan kisses for me!

  6. Great pictures – once again! What is the middle picture of? The side of a building? Praying for good naps, good sleep at night and rested souls for your return to the states. You are parents. Hurray! Steve, I know you weren’t complaining about the 20% of food to eat,:) and I’m sure Dave would agree. (Dave might have only found 10% of the food to eat.)

Say something, will ya...
