If you haven’t seen Breaking Bad yet you’re missing out. Nerdy, middle-aged chemistry teacher turned meth chef. Who can resist that?
THIS PARAGRAPH FOR BREAKING BAD FANS ONLY: The most interesting fact I read about Breaking Bad (because when I watch a show, I wikipedia the crap out of the show and every cast member, like I did with Freaks and Geeks) was that Jesse was supposed to be killed off in the first season. Can you imagine? No. What would it have been? Crap. Crap is what it would have been. BACK TO EVERYONE…
I cried the other night when I watched the last two episodes, not just because of the outcome of the finale, but because it was the finale. What am I going to do now for two hours every night? How will I escape?
My favorite thing about reality is escaping it.

My new plan is to read Insurgent (sequel to Divergent) and fall asleep before midnight every night so I can wake up early, like I did before Breaking Bad, and have some quiet time and write that stinking adoption humor book I blab about on every Stick a Cork In It! Weekend update.
November is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and they do this challenge where you write 1500 words everyday or something psycho like that. You end up with a 50,000 word manuscript. Even though I’m not writing a novel, I’m going to use it as a motivator. I’m going to try to write 500 words a day…or spend at least 30 minutes a day writing…or at least two hours a week – okay, I’m not going to be watching Breaking Bad, alright. Whatever.
So starting tomorrow my new favorite time of the day will be early morning before the kids get up while I’m having my quiet time and then writing my best seller…if I don’t find another great show to watch. No, I’m not. I’m NOT!
My other favorite time of day is anytime I’m slipping a chunk of salted coconut bark into my mouth – which gives me approximately six favorite times a day in addition to my Breaking Bad time. And if I ever watched Breaking Bad and ate salted coconut bark at the same time (which I did)…oh…yes.
Unfortunately, my kids (jerks!) decided we should go a week without desserts. Going through this week without chocolate or Breaking Bad is leaving me feeling like one of those meth heads lying on Jesse’s floor, but not having all the meth (read chocolate/Breaking Bad) I want in the world. Times are tough, yo!
So, what’s your favorite part of the day?
